On The Ninth Day Of Christmas...

“Jesus is the reason for the season” has unfortunately become a cliché. People say it because it sounds right. They heard it somewhere, or they read it someplace, and they don’t understand what it means.

We celebrate the birth of special people all the time. Martin Luther King, George Washington, and Christopher Columbus – all have days that honor them.

But what makes Jesus different? What makes us say that He is more special than these other characters in history? What truley makes Him the reason for the season?

But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
— Hebrews 2:9

Application For Today

Jot down why, in this Christmas season, Jesus is your reason for hope.

*We thought a simple area to record your thoughts would be helpful so you don't have to keep switching apps and tabs. Just make sure to copy and paste today's notes into a more permanent application like Evernote before you navigate away from this page, or else the internet will eat them.
