The prominent school of thought looks something like this: Generosity is measured in dollars. Therefore, those with the most dollars have the opportunity and ability to be generous. Meanwhile, those with the least dollars have neither an opportunity nor ability to be generous.
We see things differently. At Mission we believe that generosity is measured by magnitude of sacrifice, not dollars. We believe it is completely possible to be radically generous with little and not very generous with much. Therefore, we believe that being radically generous means sacrificing disproportionately back to God, regardless of income, and that all followers of Christ are called to be generous with God’s provision.
