THE FRIDAY 5
Each week we are highlighting someone at Mission who will answer 5 questions! Our church may be growing, but getting to know your neighbors should never be hard to do.
The Facts: Ex barista turning my photography/videography hobby (along with my love for all things wedding) into a job. I follow a lot of foodies on Instagram, I've been married for less than a year (highly recommend it) and I can't whistle.
1. In one word how would your friends describe you?
Artistic. I'm an introvert who has learned to not be shy. I love being with friends, but I regain energy from being alone and usually making art. So if I'm not with my friends they know I'm probably doodling somewhere!
2. What is playing on your radio, iPod, etc?
Currently listening to a lot of Stevie Wonder and The National...but once summer time hits, Johnny and I will be playing 90's hip hop non stop!
3. Who is the person who has had the biggest impact on your life?
I'm going to go ahead and count my parents as one person. Being "grown up", married and out of the house is giving me a whole new perspective about them. I'm kind of blown away by them.
4. Your last meal on earth would be where?
My mom is a phenomenal cook...so I would have to say a monstrous bowl of her pho--and it has to be hers. As far as where...probably in my parents' backyard...in a hammock under the twinkly lights strung between the trees.
5. What is one thing you love about Mission?
Everywhere you go, everyone is working hard and volunteering like they mean it. I've never encountered a grumpy volunteer. The people setting up curtains are working with the same excellence as those setting up mission kids; cameras; worship. To be honest, I can kind of give into a negative attitude when other people are negative so I really appreciate and need such an encouraging environment!
