The Friday 5 : Andy Cook

Each week we are highlighting someone at Mission who will answer 5 questions! Our church may be growing, but getting to know your neighbors should never be hard to do.

Andy Cook

The Facts:  I love Jesus, my family, my friends, and our church. Every day I get to serve church leaders around the world as Executive Director of Operations for Willow Creek Association.

1. In one word how would your friends describe you?

Multifaceted. Mainly because it's a great way to use multiple words. Sometimes I've been called passionate or intense. Sometimes I'm friendly. My girls would probably call me crazy.

2. What is playing on your radio, iPod, etc?

Podcasts - Meet the Press, church messages, NPR's Planet Money. Audio books - right now I'm listening to 3-4 different books, not because I'm smart, just because I'm curious and get easily bored. Occasionally we still listen to the Frozen soundtrack so I can nail the duet just one more time.

3. Who is the person who has had the biggest impact on your life?

My wife, Cari, is my best friend, an incredible leader, and the one of the funniest people I know. She's definitely helped me be more funny. It's a growth area for me.

4. Your last meal on earth would be where?

Weber Grill. Probably a steak. However, Tommy Bowman made some burnt ends a few months ago that I occasionally dream about. I guess if it were my last meal on earth, he might help me out with that, right? Chocolate would somehow be involved in the dessert.

5. What is one thing you love about Mission?

That we do crazy things to help our friends find God and reach our community.
