THE FRIDAY 5
Each week we are highlighting someone at Mission who will answer 5 questions! Our church may be growing, but getting to know your neighbors should never be hard to do.
The Facts: I am a Wheaton College Business and Economics major. I play volleyball at Wheaton and love spending time with my friends.
1. In one word how would your friends describe you?
Happy. I love meeting new people and spending time with my friends and family. I always have a smile on my face and never let things affect me in a negative way!
2. What is playing on your radio, iPod, etc?
I can't pick just one. It depends on my mood. If I am studying I almost always have classical music or opera playing. On a normal day though I listen to country and pop.
3. Who is the person who has had the biggest impact on your life?
My grandmother. She passed away in 2003 but she was always happy and upbeat. She was a self-made business woman who never let adversity phase her. She was constantly overcoming health issues and defying the odds. She was the strongest and most motivated, God loving woman I had ever met.
4. Your last meal on earth would be where?
A double-double from In-N-Out Burger. I would eat it sitting on the beach in Santa Cruz, CA.
5. What is one thing you love about Mission?
I honestly cannot pick just one thing. Mission is unlike any church I have ever been to. I love the people and sense of community and family that Mission has. I love serving with the 1 year olds on Sundays and love walking through the doors and being greeted by everyone with a smile. I am from California and I always say if I decide to stay in Illinois it will be for Mission because I cannot imagine ever loving a church like I love Mission.
