At Mission Kids, we believe Scripture isn't just for Sundays, it's for everyday life. That’s why each month, we focus on one Bible verse we’d love your family to learn together.

When kids carry God’s Word into their homes, neighborhoods, and schools, it shapes their identity. It gives them peace when they’re anxious, courage when they’re afraid, and wisdom when they don’t know what to do.

We invite you to join our friends Vinny, Gizmo, and Franny and reflect on the month’s verse. It’s a simple and powerful way to find and follow Christ together throughout the week.

Encouragement:
A family's spiritual growth doesn’t happen only on the weekends at Church and Mission Kids. When families actively engage with Scripture throughout their everyday routines; mealtimes, car rides, bedtime, or walks around the neighborhood, it:

  • Normalizes God’s Word as a natural part of life, not just a church activity.

  • Shows kids and parents that faith connects to every part of life, whether they’re celebrating, worried, or figuring out what to do next.

  • Creates consistent reminders that helps family members understand Scripture more fully and remember it over time.

Why This Matters:

  • Anchors families in God’s truth when they face anxiety, peer pressure, or challenges.

  • Shapes identity and purpose.

  • Helps families navigate decisions through the lens of God’s wisdom.

Encouragement:
Scripture teaches that parents are the primary spiritual influencers of their children (Deuteronomy 6:5-7). When the home and the church partner to help parents to bring Scripture into their homes, it:

  • Empowers parents and caregivers with confidence to disciple their kids, even if they feel unqualified.

  • Models a collaborative partnership, church and home working together.

  • Provide tools, encouragement, and accountability so parents can lead spiritual conversations naturally.

Why This Matters:
When children and families find and follow Jesus in their homes, neighborhoods, and schools, it has a ripple effect on:

  • Others begin to see authentic faith in action.

  • Families model love, integrity, and hope in ways that invite curiosity.

  • Everyday moments open the door for conversations about God.
